Hi all,

I'm learning about Ansys Meshing because before I have only used ICEM CFD to create cfd meshes. So, maybe, this question is a easy one but I would like to know about your experience with that issue.

I just want to know why when I applied a "face sizing" in a specific face I get that result (see picture). I would like to get all the face sizing through all the select surface. I suppose that, one reason, It could be because global mesh control but I would like to know what are your suggestion to this behaviour.

Thank you in advance!

hi

as you said, I think a stronger sizing than the face sizing is reason this condition!
I guess you must control the shared edge as you want! maybe applying an appropriate edge sizing at the edge could help you!

Hi Amin,

Yes, I did it as well and It worked! I used a edge sizing in that edge and now I have more uniform mesh around the face. But, I just wanted to know if is necessary uses other controls to get the real "face sizing" that I wanted from the beginning.

Thanks

because the edge is belonging to both of the faces, the mesh on 2 sides of the edge must be almost the same!
so I think if you want one of the faces has an uniform mesh, you should ignore from the other face uniform meshing!
