Hello.
tecplot is used as post-processing program usually, but in my case it's not) I have a problem importing the mesh from tecplot to icem. I use option "Import mesh -> From tecplot" from "file" menu. Firstly, I write ".dat" file(not .plt or others, it's not readable with this option) in tecplot. Then I import it to icem and mesh is created in a separate part "default"(it contains volumes and shells). I need to project this part to my geometry parts for importing it to CFX or FLUENT. The funny thing is that I get this one time, I saved .uns mesh file, but now I need to repeat it and i can't remember how) Trying to explain what I've done to get it: I split(or just created two more parts) default part to "default", "edge" and "surf". Surf part includes only shells, default includes volume elements. Then I could project these parts to my geometry using "repair mesh" and choosing appropriate option. Sorry for my English, it's not my native language. If you hane any questions, please ask. Regards. |
