Hi,
I´m modelling a 3-D Static Structural spur gears and I have some interest in developing a mesh around my gears that could be symmetric (Similar that the one on the picture).

My model is made on ansys Workbench.
Why I need a symmetric mesh? Well, Because the values that I´m looking for are related to the energy density per element, and that could help me developing the model.

I understand that I can define "Name Selections" areas on the Design Modeler but I´m not sure if that is the right way to obtain symmetric meshing, because one symmetric face doesn´t mean that my whole mesh is symmetric.

If you have any links related to this topic, or any advice I will appreciate it very much!

Thank you!
