Hello,
i am new here ... I have problems with exporting my mesh (1507805 nodes, 6841086 elements). I can generate it with out any problems in the mesher (Fluent ambient, Ansys Mesher). Even the green checkmark appears. But then when i go back to the work bench it tells me to update my project especially to update my mesh. But when i do that the problem beginns. It then tells me: ERROR! Update failed for the mesh component in the [project]. Error updating cell mesh in system [project]. View the messages in the Meshing editor for more details. and: INFORMATIONAL: The Geometry component in [project] requires user input before it can be updated and when i go to the mesher to whatch the message it tells me that: The mesh file exporter failed during translation. Please send your data to your support provider. Can somebody help me to solve the problem? I never had that before ... Has someone any idea what could be wrong? Thanks in advance Sabine |

Hello,
i have to tell you, that i couldnt really solve the problem. In my project it seems to be that the "mesh file exporter" has problems with the connections. So i checked every connection for plausibility. But still had the Problem. Then i deleted every Connection and tried it. Then (strangly) it works. But then you have the Problem Fluent cant calculate any conductive heat transfer. So if you only need the behaviour of the fluid try to delete the connections. If you need the heat transfer too i cant really help ... Maybe you should look up any other ways of connecting ... or really ask some experts ... SORRY, i know that isnt a satisfactory solution. But if you find a way, please let me know My Bachelor thesis is over, and i passed it with 1,3 ... but as you know you never stop learning ^^ |

Thanks for your reply. I need to study both heat transfer and fluid flow in my work so deleting the connections may not be a good option for me.
I will appreciate it if people in this forum who have encountered similar problem or have idea of how I can solve this problem can be of help, I really need to solve this problem as quick as I can. |
