ICEM Cyclone tangential inlet

1 Attachment(s)
Dear All,

I met problems when I was building the mesh for a cyclone. Eventhough I tried hybrid mesh (structured o-grid block mesh) for the cylinder and unstructured mesh for the tangentianl inlet region, I still sometimes got bad qualities in the tangential inlet region. See the multi cyclone below.

Are there any recommendations for the sharp edge region? Thank you in advance :)

Hi Zhiyi,

have a look at Simon's guide on page 96: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0ByIL...MjQ/edit?pli=1

There is a blocking for a volute explained. But i am sure you can apply the same procedure to your problem.

With regards,
Sebastian

Thank you! This looks very helpful! I'll try it in my case :)
