Hi,everyone.
I have a problem with meshing by ICEM CFD. I'm blocking a 2D geometry in ICEM and then meshing & converting it to uns mesh, but when i try to export it for ansysfluent one error as follow appear. "child killed: SIGABRT WARNING: Mesh has uncovered edges. ANSYS Fluent needs a complete boundary (lines in 2D) or it will give a variety of errors and not read in the mesh! If this was 2D Hexa, perhaps your edges are not associated with perimeter curves". I try too much to solve this problem, but i can't. Please told me how i can solve this problem. Thanks. |

I did it (associate edge to curve) several time, but this error appeared again. Now i don't know what should i do?

I had the same problem and then I associated curves to edges and it solved the problem.

Hi guys, I am wondering if you solved the error you faced? Actually, I am using ICEM to create a mesh for my airintake geometry and I faced same error (warning), this error says "the mesh has uncovered edges", please help....

The edges and curves have been associated, but the problem keeps on....

It's 2D mesh.

Ok. I have also met this problem in the 2d mesh. I fixed it by using Check Mesh tools.
ICEM will ask you if to delete some edges, so then choose ignore option. I hope it helps.

when I look at the "lines" of my mesh I notice that not all of the lines around my boundary have been included. However, I have associated the edge to curve for these parts and ICEM confirms the association but I still have the same error. I have looked at the "check mesh" which highlights a number of cells, however nothing has been resolved when I clock "fix". Please help. |
