doubts about ICEM

Hello :):)
I have two question.
I try to make a mesh by using gmsh, but i'm not satisfied about the results so i want to try a new program and i saw ICEM CFD could be good for my work.
Now i want to ask if i can import the mesh creatd by ICEM into OPENFOAM.
Second i try to download ICEM, but i can't undersand if it is free or not.
Does exist a free version? I'm a university student and i don't have muh money :(:(

Thaks for help

Hi Kayla,

it is possible to create meshes for OpenFOAM. For example via Fluent format. which works good enough for me.

As far as i know, ANSYS doesn't provide a student version nor a free version for ICEM CFD. But, maybe your university has some licence agreements with ANSYS. You may ask your IT department.

With regards,
Sebastian

Thank you for your courteousness Sebastian :D

I have another question.
To covert a mesh made by gmsh in OF format i use the comand gmshToFoam.
Is there another similar command to convert the mesh made my ICEM?

Thanks for help
