Hi everyone,

I'm facing a quite interesting problem.

I have a quite big fluid zone that I want to mesh, therefore I've sliced it into several bodies in DM, all bodies are frozen, and formed a new part.

I have applied mesh settings to all the bodies, methods and sizing. But Meshing just ignores some bodies, it doesn't add a mesh to them when I use "Generate mesh" without giving me any warning or info-messages.

Did somebody already face the same problem?

Maybe post the picture of the geometry and the mesh details tree.

Hello and thanks a lot for your reply!

I am not allowed to post any geometry details. It's nothing special but I don't want to have trouble with my supervisor or the partners in the industry.

Anyway, it seems that I've solved the problem. My fluid body consists of 28 parts (all are frozen in DM and I have formed a new part). I have played with different methods to find the correct meshing parameters but never actually meshed the whole body. When a group of parts was meshed with acceptable quality I just surpressed some of them and added others to save computing time.

When I wanted to add a mesh to the whole fluid body it turned out that it doesn't work. Sometimes I had disappearing parts, sometimes I was facing errors.

I've told Ansys Meshing to delete all the mesh data and then to generate a mesh for all the parts at once. Now it seems to be fine and I hope I can start with my simulations in Fluent soon.

Thanks!
