Dear all,

I am just meshing a complex geometry of vessels using ICEM and for any reason my pre mesh is not constrained to the geometry (see pics). I associated the edges of the blocks to curves on the surface and i also created a Material Point inside the geometry. Does anybody have any idea how to fix this?

Thanks a million in advance for any help!
Lilly

Post more pictures, separate ones of the geometry, blocking and clear zoomed pics where mesh is going wrong.

Geometry is complex. Would not it be easier to use a tetra mesh?

Thank you shereez! That's true, but I want to simulate species transport and we realized that we get numerical diffusion, if we use a tetra mesh for that.

I just found that I don't have the probelm, if I associate the faces of the blocks to the surface of the geometry as well. The problem is there are really a lot of faces and some of them are internal. If I select all of the faces, the mesh looks messed up (see upper area of the pic) and if I only select the faces on the outside of the blocks the mesh looks good (see lower area of the pic). Is there any way to select the faces of the outside automatically ( and not manually) since there are so many blocks?
Thank you for any idea!
