Hello,

I'm trying to smooth a blocking in a Hexa mesh (Pre-Mesh Smooth) using the Multiblock method. The idea is that vertices of the blocking are moved to get a smoothed block structure. I tried to illustrate the problem using a simple mesh of a box, see attachments for a general blocking/mesh and the desired blocking/mesh results.

However, I can't get the vertices moving using the Multiblock smoother. Anyone experience with this kind of problem and some directions how to handle the problem? Settings for Face Options, Vertices Options etc.?

As i know, it does not move the vertices. However it tries to make them orthogonal at their current location.

Ok, then I might have misunderstood the idea of multiblock meshing... Two new questions arise:
  • What is the purpose of the Multiblock smoothing method? And especially, what is the advantage over the Orthogonality method?
  • Is there another method to smooth the blocking like in the original example?
