Hi,

I'm working on 2D airfoil simulation and I had some problems with the mesh . I tried use the face meshing , but it worked in only 2 of the 6 selected faces and I do not know why it happened . Does anyone know what to do?

Thanks

I took some prints of the mesh and setup. I divided
the mesh into 6 parts , but face meshing worked only in two of the 6 parts.

err, cant see the pictures...

OK i see them now. From what i understand you think that face meshing will give you a hex mesh? No, it wont.

There are quite a few tutorials for aerofoils you can find on the internet, try going through a few of them. The geometry is an aerofoil is it?

Or you can just use a tet mesh with inflation on the aerofoil surface it will give you good results too. Look at leap blog on inflation layer and y+, it has got good explanations. if you cant find it let me know i will post the links here later then.
