Hi, everyone:

I am trying to simulate a thin porous plate exposed to the flow. My adviser told me one way that I can build the plate as 2D and then add porous media on it.

My question is whether it is possible to preserve a 2D solid body (i.e. surface body) within a 3D fluid domain. I know boolean operation does not allow subtraction between 2D body and 3D body. If I skip subtraction, errors appear when I import my mesh file into Fluent.

Best regards,

Hao
