hi all
I have a model of an air to air heat exchanger. basically there are two air streams which are separated by a copper foil of 0.01mm thickness. when I mesh the geometry in ICEM the software automatically considers the copper foil to be part of the cold air stream. so because of this problem when I import the mesh into CFX it is not possible to specify boundaries for the copper sheet. any suggestion would be appreciated. thanks in advance |

in CFX you can set the boundary as thin material, then select copper and thickness. No idea, if that works in ICEM. Plus you would have to make 2 domains. And I found (in CFX), you have to set an expert parameter, so its 2 different physics, otherwise both fluids would mix.
Found that is an heat exchanger, there are 2 different fluids I dont want to mix. Again, thats in CFX, not ICEM, but you may find something there. Separating domains was in Beta options. |
