Hello Everyone!!
I am trying to mesh a turbine in Fluent. I have three different parts namely stationary domain, rotating domain and blades. Out of which two parts are to be meshed and one part ( blades ) need not. Combine images and separate images are attaches along with. I tried to mesh stationary and rotating fluid domain separately. To mesh stationary part, I suppressed rotating fluid domain and blades. And to mesh rotating fluid domain, I suppressed stationary fluid domain and blades. But when I unsuppress them all, it displays "update required" symbol beside MESH. Ans as I update the mesh, It does not gets updated, rather meshing runs for indefinite time (till I click stop button). My queries are: 1) Is the approach that I am following leads to correct mesh ? 2) Is it impossible to mesh parts separately (suppressing) other parts and finally update a mesh? P.S. I used patch independent method to mesh rotating fluid domain whereas I used sweep method to mesh stationary fluis domain. Thank You. Any help will be appreciated. |
