Hi all,

I am taken a error : The mesh file exporter does not support overlapping geometry in named selection

You think a sperical body and the other body is 20 microns thikness out of external radius of sperical body. All faces seperately chosen named selection but error above I have defined is available.

Is it relevant to 20 microns thickness body? Is it not necessary to define named selection?

Kind Regards,

view your geometry in wireframe
click each named selection and it shud highlight the face/edge/body
check which two named selection has same face/edge and remove from one.

Yes 20 micron thickness ins possible!

Let me put it this way,

First image attached, it is fluid and 20 micron thickness, all faces( inside and outside have been defined interface)

Secon image attached, it enters in 20 micron thickness, it is a melt glass, all exterior surfaces have been defined interface,

Third image attached, it is a solid one. First and second images assembled has been assemblied,

Last one image, environmental air, all inside faces defined interface to solid external faces ( 3 image)

The problem only has been seen in 1 and 2

Kind Regards,

In DM, have you changed shared topology method from "Automatic" to "Imprints" ??
Its possible that thr is only 1 surface between two bodies and you have renamed them twice!
change method to Imprints and try again and it should solve problem of overlapping NS.

Thank you Sir,

I would like to ask you another question if you please,

if solid zone and fluid zone contact each other, ''interface'' as named selection is correct ?

The reason why I ask you, I need to define temperature in fluid zone, but all faces are defined ''interface'' thats why I couldnt specify any temperature value in fluid zone.

what i do is define both interface separately
like solid side face as "Interface_solid_fluid"
Fluid side face as "Interface_fluid_solid"
this way i know which face to call

similarly you can create whatever named selection you like, you just need to remember when you call it.

Hi thank you,

Ok but I couldnt tell you correctly that problem,

Attached images are ''fluid'', and part in first image enter into second one image. Both are contacted in inner section. And I need to define temperature (in)both fluid zoneas boundary condition in FLUENT. But as those are ''interface'', I could not give temperature inputs.

Although, part in second image (that is fluid) contacts to solid part. Those are ''interfaces'' in similar way.

How can I define both interfaces and give temperature inputs as boundary condition in FLUENT. Is it possible or do you understand me ?

Thank you for all
