Please am having problem with launching ansys mesh. An error unable to attach file geometry pops up after i upload a STEP/IGS/Parasolid file.
I need a detail explaination please.

Ansys mesh is unable to attach file geometry.

take a screen shot of problem and show
shud be a reason why its not able to!

Firstly I agree with Kapi, we cant help you much without any detailed explanation.

Secondly the error is somewhat self explanatory.

There can be several issues:
  1. The geometry is corrupt.
  2. The CAD program is missing
  3. You are trying to use a geometry format that your cad program does not support.
There are so many possible reason.

After I uploaded my STEP geometry in design modeler.
upon launching mesh. When i want to generate mesh a dialog box appears "update failed for the mesh component in fluid flow. Error updating cell mesh in system fluid flow.
