simmetry

I have a problem with a simmetry grid,my file.msh is only half figure of my grid, how can I use the shadow function to have all my grid?

Re: simmetry

if you defined the simmetry face as 'symmetry' in gambit, you don't have to do anything special in fluent.

If your problem is to display both sides of the symmetry after the calculation, you can go in Display/views, and play with the mirror planes there. Again, that's pure display thing. Nothing to do with how fluent is doing the calculation.

Hope this helps!

Do I have to select all the faces that I want to mirror or just the faces along which I want mirroring to be done?

don't select any surfaces on the left, just select the symmetry plane on the right, it will display the full geometry

Thanks MAX .I will try that ...does anybody know how to insert a mixer near the outlet so that I can record a uniform temperature at the outlet?
