how do I define Inlet and Outlet and Wall for Edges in 2D Geometry in Ansys 12?

First, to Ryne, Hilarious, Thanks.

For applying bocos to a 2D geometry, you use named selections just as you would for a 3D geometry. You can do this in DM or in ANSYS Meshing. Use the edge selector (above the middle of the screen somewhere) and select the inlet edge, right click and create a named selection. Call in “INLET” and generate. Then repeat for the outlet.


Later, when the mesh is generated, the line elements along these edges will be in the component of the named selection. When you get to your solver, you will be able to select by this component/named selection and apply your bocos.
