mesh 2d or 3d -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

doctsh Member s Kumar Join Date: Jul 2009 Posts: 50 Rep Power: 16	I am complete new to mesh generation and geometry. Please some one advice me in the following situation: A cylinder is rotating in fluid. What is the shape of mesh? should it be 2d or 3d? Any help will be appreciated.
