Hi all.
I am modeling a rectangular channel where the bed is composed of a triangular format. I have used the Patch Independent Method. I pretend to refine the mesh near the bed. Which is the more effectively way of doing that? I have tried to use the sphere of influence but i don`t think itīs a comfortable way of doing what I pretend. Any suggestions that might help me? Best Regards. |

In conclude, actually what I want it`s to have more triangular elements near the bed in order to get the zone of higher gradients.

You can right click on the mesh branch to insert sizing...
Just set a smaller size on the triangle surface. (change to the face picker and select the face). Simon |

Dear Simon:
Thanks a lot for your suggestion. I have followed what you mentioned but something really strange had happened.I have tried face sizing with 2 mm for the element size but when I click in the mesh branch I can`t see the body and neither the mesh . These are the the main features of my problem: The channel has 1.7 m in the longitudinal direction, 0.3 m of width and 0.14 m of height; The bed consists of the contour of triangles (the base of the triangles "doesn`t exist") with 4.61 mm sides (just two sides). The space between the triangules is 1.54 mm. I pretend to have 3/4 tetra elements in the sides of this triangules. My inputs at the moment are: Min size = 6 mm; Max Face Tet = 8 mm; Mat Tet Size = 10 mm. Do you know why this is happening?Any suggestions? Best Regards |
