error in gambit

Hi
I have a problem, when i go to mesh a cylinder gambit show me this error:
projection intervall count for periodic submap of face must be bigger than zero.
what does it mean?

thanks for the attention

are you setting an interval count (number of nodes) instead of interval size?

bob12 March 2, 2010 03:04

i used an interval count (number of nodes) in the edge. thanks for reply and i would ask you if the following way is correct. i have split the cylinder in other so i can do the mesh.
however how can resolve the problem if it occurs in the future?

what value did you gave for number of nodes?

bob12 March 2, 2010 04:09

i have given 14 nodes.
i have another problem when i go to mesh the side surface of a cylinder the mesh rotate how can i do to have a linear mesh?

the message prompted from gambit sounds like you gave a negative value, or something weird.
post a picture for the other problem
