Hello,

I am trying to mesh a 3D helmet in Ansys workbench, i created named selections (inlet, outlet, helmet) in meshing to import to fluent. when i mesh the fluid over the helmet, the error "problematic geometry" occurs in the named selections. The "problematic geometry" is referenced on a surface of the helmet. Can someone help with this?

The error says... "The following surfaces cannot be meshed with acceptable quality. Try using a different element size or virtual topology."

Those small sliver surfaces are the problems...

So there is the suggestion to use a smaller size.

Or you could use Virtual Topology to group those sliver surfaces together into more reasonable surfaces.

Or you could switch to a method that doesn't rely on Patch conforming tetra. Try the Patch Independent Tetra and see how you like it.

I don't have time to run it right now, but hopefully I will get the chance and try again later this week.

Hi,

I have a similar problem with my geometry too.

Did you figure out a way to mesh your part?

Thanks
