How to merge bodies
Thanks for reading this thread!

I'm trying to define different zones for meshing of a cylindrical pipe.
I've got one shell-pipe and one core-pipe(with different sizing...) but I want Fluent to calculate them as only one pipe.
How can I merge two or more bodies into one AFTER the meshing?
('body of influence' is not an option right here...)

Multibody parts
If you are looking node for node conformal meshes between the inner and outer pipe, but you currently have two separately meshed bodies... You can't merge them after meshing. However, you could go back (to DM) and turn them into a MultiBody Part. (Done thru right clicking on the parts branch of the model tree).

When you mesh a multibody part, it generates conformal mesh between the bodies.

If you actually want to merge the volumes into a single volume (all one material) so it will actually mesh as a single volume, then you would do a body operation in DM to union the parts.

If you want to merge existing meshes (such as a tetra mesh and a swept hexa mesh), then you need a mesh editor like ICEM CFD.
