[ICEM] Hexa Meshing a helical profile

Dear all,
I tried to create a hexa mesh for a helical profile in ICEM.I did this by blocking-3D bounding box, associating the top and bottom edges to the start and end of the profile. If I generate a surface mesh, and project to faces, there are still some regions that are being omitted from the mesh.

My question now is that are there specific procedures for creating hexa mesh for a helical profile? If not, is there an explanation why hexa meshing of a helical profile is bad?

Sorry, I would love to help, but I am going to need some images to understand what your problem is. It sounds like you are basically fitting the intial hexa box to a 3D Helix shape... Does it have a square cross section?

I see you associated the box to the ends, did you also associate the side edges to curves running along the helix?
