Hi all,
I was trying to simulate a model for air flow over an outdoor deck as you can seen on the image file on the link below. http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/1381/geometry.png I was trying to mesh the whole volume with hexahedral mesh. But unfortunately it failed. Anyone expert here kind to teach me some strategic to mesh this volume? Thanks. Regards. Last edited by lalula2; August 24, 2010 at 05:21. Reason: Change title |

Hi all,
I decomposed my volume into a smaller size as shown on picture below. http://img178.imageshack.us/i/meshx.png However i have problem to mesh the small opening located below. the opening size are 29m x 0.4m. I got the message from Gambit as shown below: ERROR: Volume 8 could not be meshes with a scheme of cooper because the previously meshed edges on one of the faces is unacceptable. Any method to tackle this problem? Any suggestion are welcome. Thanks. Regards. Last edited by wyldckat; September 3, 2015 at 16:16. Reason: disabled embedded images |

did you try size function for your geometry, for example use "approximately size function"
i dont know if it is work for your problem or not.... |

the problem should come from an edge wich is already meshed, but don't match the element count of your source.
Basically if you have a rectangle and you mesh the smallest side with 10 nodes, and the other (opposite) with 11, then you have a problem
