Hi
I have to simulate the flow around a tanker-truck (road tanker) to test the aerodynamic drag of the type of trucks currently used. I have modelled the trucks geometry in ProEngineer Wildfire4 and exported it to GAMBIT. I have no problems when exporting the geometry from ProEngineer to GAMBIT. But i do not know how to model the wind tunnel needed to do the simulations. Please help me with this wind tunnel modeling. Links to tutorials on this subject is also welcome. Thank you uthman |

create a surrounding box, move your truck inside the box and substract the box with the truck

do u have dimension of standard windtunnel ? do u created the truck geometry from any standard data of any automobile company.....?
create a box around your truck........the shape of the box is rectangular. now subtract ur truck from the box...........that leads to only one volume......now devide ur one volume into several different volume to create mesh....... |
