flow over extended surfaces in a channel (2D)

i am new to gambit & fluent. i am having problems specifying the boundary types in gambit though i am already done with the geometry and the meshing part. i am trying to get velocity and temperature distribution for :::>

________________adiabatic wall___________
.air |................................................. ...| outlet
--->|..................flow.......................... ...|---->
......|................--------->......................|
inlet|____E____E_____E_____E_____E_____|_____plate at const temp

this is the basic geometry: 'E' is showing the 'extended surface'
extended surfaces are RECTANGULAR.
plzz tell if i am correct on these parts:-
-i have created separate meshes for the channel and the extended surface!!!
-applied a ratio of 1.08 in the upward direction(for meshing)!!!!!
what should i specify boundary type for extended surfaces(E) , adiabatic wall???
plzzz help...
