hi,
i wanted to project an edge(circle) onto a curved surface but i am getting an error:
cannot project edge edge.157 at the given location because the result would be a degenerate edge.

can some one tell me how to overcome this problem.
can this be done using some other options.

am struck here for along time,it would be helpful if someone suggest it.

Thanking you,
Rajshekar

assuming you gave the right direction, try to split your circle into 2 semi-circles, and retry.

project of edge worked when i split it as you said,
but my aim was to split the target face with the projected edges and keep both the faces(in of cir edge and outside it).when am using split option, outside of cir edge, the target face is deleted

please suggest....

I don't understand.
post picture of result
If you enabled the split option, gambit will project and split the surface with this edge.

you can also apply it on outlet face, it is just a mesh topology
