Hy guys
I downloaded ICEM cfd 12 for linux (debian) from the official ansys site. the .tar file contains several directory .. but no ones executable file to install...
Anyway , i opened the subdirectory and directory bin contains the executable file "icemcfd" ... (I've done this with ./icemcfd) but icem doesn't find the license file ... installed with the executable "install.LM" in the /ansys_inc folder, i thought to put icem main folder in ansys_inc .. but the problem persists

HELP ME

thanks in advance

Go back and check the install site... That Tar file may have been part of a series of files or something like that. I am not familiar with the Linux install, but you should be careful to follow instructions which should lead to a clear install. If you still think something is wrong, please go to ANSYS Tech Support, it is their job to help with this sort of thing and even academics qualify (a fact many academics are not used to ).

We do support Linux (and have many happy users), but we do not officially run tests on Debian (only RedHat and Suse), so maybe that is the issue.
