How To Smooth 2D Surface
3 Attachment(s)
I made a 3D curve using a given set of points in DesignModeler, but when I came to create a surface from the curve, the edges of the surface did not match up with the 3D curve. I tried messing with it and found an option that would fix the discretized edges, but I can't seem to find the option anymore.
I've been looking through the help files and I still can't seem to find it. Can anyone help me with this issue? I'm afraid the 'non-smooth' surface will create issues when running the simulations. I've attached a few pictures of the issues that I'm referring to. Thank you all in advance for your help. - Ali |
That might just be a graphics issue, not a real gap. Just mesh it and see how it looks.

In DM go to the tools menu -> options -> graphics and then pick facet quality and set it to 10. |
You would face the same "issue" with all the others softwares.
You just need to be careful that the gap between the curves and the surface is lower than your smallest mesh element size (it's all about tolerance). As Simon said, don't worry about it, and go for meshing! |
