Delaunay Maximum Size Control

Hello,

Has anyone noticed an issue where the delaunay volume mesher ignores the maximum global mesh size? I'm generating a surface mesh first using octree and then generating the volume mesh using delaunay, but the mesh seems to jump to the same maximum size no matter what size is set to the local or global max.

Does it jump to a size that is greater than the global max or smaller?

Greater than the global max.

I am having the same problem. Delaunay mesher creates tetrahedral elements with max side 4-5 times larger than the specified global max size! Tgrid does this too. Any suggestions why?

I am not sure that the global max size applies to Delaunay or TGrid... It is really a setting for Octree...

Those other meshers use the surface mesh and grow into the volume from there...

However, I have controlled their max size with density boxes... Try that.
