error IN ICEM CFD V.12.0.1

Hi,

While saving the generated 3D mesh, the attached error happened. What would be the possible source of this error?

Thanks

Write 7-node-hexas as pyramids

Somewhere in your model, you have a hexa element with one edge pinched to form a 7 noded hexa. ICEM CFD is flexible and doesn't mind, but Fluent does, so ICEM CFD lets you know about this problem during output.

You can check your blocking and sort this out (maybe you shouldn't have any of these). If your topology actually requires this sort of collapsed edge (typical near the tip of flow around cones in a periodic model), you could upgrade to a newer version of ICEM CFD that has an option under "settings => Hexa/Mixed" that will auto convert 7 noded hexas into pairs of pyramids that Fluent will support.

This screen shot is from 13.0, but I forget when it was added.
