Mesh Concentration Points

I have a mesh made in Ansys Mesher (see attached picture) and would like to add some concentration points (red circles) to the mesh. I know that you can use 'sphere of influence' to achieve this, however, I'm using 'Advanced Size Function' and Ansys doesn't allow the use of 'Sphere of Influence' with that function.

Does anyone know of a different way to achieve this?

Maybe you could add some curves and points in those areas and then specify the number of nodes on those curves ?

I'm very new to Ansys, unfortunately. How would I go about doing that?

Do you mean that I should go in the DesignModeler and add some points and curves or should I do it directly in the mesher?

you cant draw anything with ansys mesher, you should go with Design modeler. create a plane with 'from face' as reference and draw curves with sketching, then generate.

You can also do it with ICEM, just play with the geometry options.
You could rescale your geometry with a factor of 2 for example, and set the number of nodes you want on your new curves.

In ANSYS Meshing, you could try adding a body of influence... This is geometry (any shape) created in DM, but ignored for meshing and only used for sizing. You set it up in the same place that you setup the sphere of influence...

I thought body of influence was only for 3D models?


Also, once I draw my curves in DesignModeler, should I create lines from those sketched curves so that I can specify the nodes in the Mesher? But if I do this, how can I specify that the mesher doesn't treat it as a solid body? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
