benjaminL is on a distinguished road
Hello,

I would like to simulate a flow around a fin to know the strength inside and the deformation.

I use this geometry, a bloc and a fin imported by an .iges files.

When i try to mesh them i have this message "volume 1 has invalid topology for mapped brick meshing".

How can i mesh it with a tetra meshing or another meshing?

I have tried with multiphysic licence and structural/FLotran? Witch licence is the best for this simulation?

I use for the fin the element Solidshell "SOLSH190" because i want to simulate a composite (composite in area and another material orthotrope inside the fin) and for the block i use the FLOTRAN3D element "FLUID142". Is it adapted?

Thank you for any help
