Good day everyone,

So I started working on my model which is basically a channel with one cylinder in the middle, for the begining i am just putting one to get the basic idea of the software.
Anyway, i did the geometry, the blocking and splitting the blocks, i then tried to do the association of edges with curves and i computed the pre-mesh, but i have noooo idea what i got, i couldnt even see the mesh around the cylinder, can you please tell me what steps i might have missed or what i should do?
i attached the project and some images

thank you very much

Hello,
Your blocking doesnt have edges associated to curves and also there is no bunching set for edges in order to have some cells to view.
Associate edges to curves and set some bunching on the edges.

Regards
jeevan

hey

okay so i have the cylinder in the middle of the channel, so i split the blocks and then i had to collapse the blocks for the cylinder so i didnt know which ones to collapse... there is one ot top of it runnning from the outlet to the inlet but not passing through it, and there are two either side of the cylinder (and those are the ones i collapse, but when i did that i found that the block went crazy...i attached the file so tell me what you think,,i still didnt do the mesh params and nodes and all that...

thank you

Hello,

I will have a look at it.
i have made some modifications to the blocking. I have uploaded the blocking file, it might be helpful for you. try to build a similar one.

regards
jeevan

hey jeevan thank you for sending me the file..looks great really. can you lead me through the steps you did..i mean the one i did didnt look anything likt that and from what you saw you must have guessed that i have no experience. what i did was i followed similar steps to the pipe blade tutorial..also a little from the wing body tutorial. i see that you made several splits in the channel where as i left them as to blocks on either side.. and for the cylinder did you collapse the blocks??also the block over the cylinder looks really good in the model you made i wasnt able to do that, as when i collaped the bloacks under it, it changed into a triangular shape. I am greatful for you help

and in the blocks you made...how would you associate the edges to the cylinder curves???

thanks
