hi im hoping someone could take a look at my mesh of a transonic airfoil with a trailing edge wedge and tell me what they thought. If there maybee is a better way to capture the geometry around the wedge? I used a structured hex mesh.

pic of mesh around trailing edge wedge

and heres a pic of the blocking structure around the airfoil if ur interested to see this

Thanks for any input

Your blocking and the meshing is perfect only there is cell jump near the TTE, just correct the bunching near the tte.

Hi,

Could you show me the full domain and the final mesh?
what is the y+ value?

Thank you very much.

I think that you would control the cells behavior around the wedge trailing edge if you add a cut in the pressure side of the blocking as close as possible to the 6th point from right to left. Then adjust the edge of the new blocking in order to increase the orthogonality of cells near this area.

Regards.
