hi
I am designing a cylinder say with 400mm height and 40mm radius in gambit. Now i want to use particular portion of wall say 200 mm from the centre to coat some material on that portion only. how can i separately use that portion of wall from the volume.
please suggest any solution

i have put the drawing. i want to use the 200mm height(as marked in drawing) cylinder for coating some paints on it inside a 500mm height cylinder.so it must be like a wall inside a volume. now how to separate this portion as a wall from the volume so that i can coat the paint.
i don't want that part to be a separate volume.

create your wall as surface, and split your volume with this surface.
In the BC panel, assign your surface as wall.
If you don't do it, Gambit will define it automatically as interior
