Problems with coedge curves and surfaces
Unfortunately I didn't notice that I was having this problem until I fully meshed my geometry and output to Fluent for simulation (where the mesh didn't load). When I open my file in ICEM, all of these problems appear in the dialog box. Does anyone have any suggestions on checks I could run through or ways to diagnose what exactly the problem is (or even to show me which curve is which so I know where the problem is)?
Code:
Loading geometry file "Run05_Prism_V4.tin" |
Hi Tom,
could you please explain how you solved your problem? Best regards, Lukas |
Hello Tom,
Have you checked the mesh quality in ICEM (namely 2x2x2 and 3x3x3 Determinants)? ICEM can do many quality checks. |
The mesh quality (at least for my case) was fine >0.5.
I was more interested in the error messages with respect to the geometry because the geometry seemed to be clean, too. |
Hello Lukas,
Okay, understood. Is it an unstructured mesh? If so, maybe check that the edge - curve associations are all correct. Edit: I realise this would be an issue when importing the model into Fluent. |
Hi,
I am having a blockstructured mesh. If you do not know ANSYS ICEM CFD, then I think it does not make sense to write in this post :) My question more focused on what a coedge is and how to find out what edge and surface is associated with e.g. the id F_23123.... |
Hello Lukas,
I do know ICEM CFD, it is what I use for my research. It is Fluent I am not too familiar with. Fair enough, I better understand what you are asking now. Hopefully someone who is more knowledgeable with Fluent can help. |
