[ICEM] How to disconnect the mesh density on two sides of a Y junction

I understand this may be a simple issue, but I'm still a beginner in ICEM and haven't managed to find a solution in the forums.

I have a mesh for a scramjet engine which, at a certain point, splits at the cowl so the compressed airflow goes through the isolator and the free-stream flow passes under the cowl, similar to a Y-junction, as in the picture.

Thing is, blocks 21 and 14 are connected through the VORFN block 27, so that the number of cell nodes in the x-direction is the same for both blocks. Is there a way to disconnect these blocks so I can have a different number of cells in the x-direction for each? Deleting the VORFN block is not an option, as it just gets recreated.

When deleting the block check the option "delete permanently". This should disconnect them.

It seems to disconnect them, but it completely distorts the remaining blocks downstream, which in turn seems to distort the mesh.

I wonder if there is another way to do it?
