WARNING: Mesh has uncovered edges. ANSYS Fluent needs a complete boundary (lines in 2D) or it will give a variety of errors and not read in the mesh! If this was 2D Hexa, perhaps your edges are not associated with perimeter curves
This is a U-shaped tunnel, there is a cylinder in the middle. I've checked edge associations and I think my boundary is complete, but still get this warining. ICEM.PNG As a result, I cannot import the mesh into Fluent.Fluent.PNG Here is my ICEM file, sarp_u.zip. Hope you guys can help me! Thank! |

Well...
this problem has been reported countless times. And also the solution: Check all boundary associations. All. Use the check mesh feature. For a 2d case i prefer to do this: blank all mesh elements but the line elements. This way you will see which boundary hasn't been converted to unstructured, or which wasn't meshed. With regards, Sebastian |

The hint to check the edge/curve association is still very much valid.
I had a problem like that and what I did I unchecked the boxes in ICEMCFD for the curves and then I could see that some edges had not been created or were not associated with the curves. After I started over and made the correct associations, everything worked. To verify, I unchecked the curves box again and the remaining box with the edges showed every edge correctly. |
