fail to importing parasolid

Hello everybody. I've currently face a problem in importing the parasolid file which generate by solidwork in to ICEM. The log shows me the following,

child killed: SIGABRT
Tetin file ./Part1.tin does not exist
Done.
Current Coordinate system is global

after this, nogeometry was imported into ICEM.

I don't know what is happening. It is because this is my first time use ICEM in my own laptop. Is it thereis not enough RAM in my computer?Could anyone help me to solve the problem?

Sorry, I don't know, but perhaps you could try another parasolid file just to make sure it isn't a model specific problem...?

Error importing parasolid geometry in icem

Dear All,

I have an issue importing parasolid file in icem. Error pasted below
Code:

New working directory is /home/cfduser/mesh/test-parasolid
"/opt/ansys_inc/v140/icemcfd/linux64_amd/bin/pstotin" "/home/cfduser/mesh/test-parasolid/container-lock.x_t" "/home/cfduser/mesh/test-parasolid/container-lock.tin"
child killed: segmentation violation
Tetin file /home/cfduser/mesh/test-parasolid/container-lock.tin does not exist

Done.
Current Coordinate system is global

Can somebody suggest me where I can look for errors?

As @PSYMN suggested, I have tried importing different .x_t files to ensure it is not model specific problem(I don't know what it mean right away).

Please help me solving this issue.

Thanks & Regards,
CFDUser_

Which option you are using for geometry import ? Geometry import or model import? Try both option for same parasolid file.

Also try to open that file in design modeller / space claim and then provide link to icem cfd.

Hello Sijal,

Thank you for reply.
1. I am using file->import geometry->parasolid option for importing which is throwing error as posted in my 1st post
2. I am importing geometry, I am not aware of model import option in ICEM and I didn't find any model import option. Please help me with it.
3. I tried importing from parasolid under workbench reader which is throwing below error
with 'from tetin file?' option
Code:

Importing file /home/cfduser/mesh/burner1/HP_Brenner.x_t

ERROR: missing executable /opt/ansys_inc/v140/icemcfd/linux64_amd/../../aisol/CommonFiles/linx64/ansys.meshing.icworkbenchreaders.exe
Current Coordinate system is global
Done

with 'workbench defaults' option
Code:

Importing file /home/cfduser/mesh/burner1/HP_Brenner.x_t

ERROR: missing executable /opt/ansys_inc/v140/icemcfd/linux64_amd/../../aisol/CommonFiles/linx64/ansys.meshing.icworkbenchreaders.exe
Current Coordinate system is global
Done

But I am successful reading it in Ansys workbench. Since I am using ICEM 14 and which is not integrated with ansys workbench, I am still facing issue in reading parasolid files directly into ICEM. But as of now I am exporting to STL format from workbench to use in ICEM.

Thanks Sijal for your kind reply.

Thanks & Regards,
