Using more than one meshing method on a single 2D geometry
I'm creating an axisymetric model of fluid being compressed by a piston. I've done this by creating a 2D geometry (in designmodeler) and meshing it with quadrilateral elements (in ansys meshing) and then defining it as an axisymetric model in ANSYS FLUENT.
I now want to define a boundary layer region and mesh it with more refinement than the rest of the body. Is it possible to create two different meshing methods in ANSYS Meshing and apply them to different parts of the geometry? It appears to only allow me to define a mesh method for the entire geometry. I'm aware that in ANSYS CFX I could use the glue adjacent meshes feature in CFX-PRE to get around this problem. Is there something equivalent to this in FLUENT? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! |
