Cylinder Geometry and Blocking

I'm a complete ICEM newbie (just started learning a week ago) never did any 3d models before or in that case, meshing.
Anyway i have a geometry where a smaller cylinder is connected to a larger diameter cylinder. I just used the normal blocking methods introduced in the tutorials as well as o-grid creation. I've managed to create a mesh but it seems like the junction between the pipes the mesh cells directions dont look "in-line" i.e. they are angled. Is this ok or is there another way to block this geometry more effectively to avoid this? |

Hi,
You can generate blocking on larger cylinder, then create two o-grids and extrude faces to create blocking on smaller cylinder. Check this thread: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ans...weep-mesh.html , the geometry is quite similar. Regards |
