im working a project on gambit 2.2.30 and im have some problems .i want to design 2 pipes like i put the one into the other vertically , but i want to run it then to fluent so through them will pass liquid..i've designed the pipes but i dont know how t do the rest.

Posting threads on right subforums will give you more chance to get some reply:

thank you for your offer to help me.this is the design.now i want to show the inflow which is in the left of the up horizontal cylinder and the out flow which is in th right of the down horizontal cylinder.but i want to unite the horizontal cylinders with the each of the other cylinders so that through them passes liquid.

Hi,
let me explain the steps in detail. 1. You have the geometry from CAD or you can model using GAMBIT. 2. For efficient meshing, you can break this entire model into sub domains, like vertical pipes and horizontal pipes. Your model is a manifold i suppose. 3. Go to mesh-volume in Gambit and start meshing one by one. The connectivity between all the domains will be restored by GAMBIT. 4. You can generate a boundary layer mesh if needed. I would do so... 5. Assign continuum types and Boundary types 6. Export mesh in GAMBIT and Import mesh in Fluent. Please let me know if this was helpful... |
thanks, for the reply.that helped me.i have a question the pipes are empty inside, i mean i dont have to do something on gambit so when i run it to fluent there will be no problems.and how can i put the walls , the inflow and outflow?
