ANSYS Fluent mesh export: nodes and edges
Hi:
I was wondering what is actually included in a file created by the mesh export function in Fluent? I intend to take Fluent mesh files as input to my own software package and essentially just need details of node locations (i.e., coordinates) and which nodes are connected (e.g., a list of edges stating which two nodes are joined by them). Can Fluent produce a file that essentially just provides these data? |
Sure, you can get the full definition of the *.msh file on line (just google it or search the Help).
It is basically node locations and element connectivity information. There is also info about which elements are associated with which boundaries or zones... |
