Please could you tell me about a FREE mesh generator for Fluent, since Gambit is discontinued in my country?

yes Gambit was not a free sofware but it is abandoned and I can not purchase a new licence key for 2012. Since I have some works pending with some students I search a Free mesh generator to replace Gambit. Does such a freeware wich a comparable graphical interface exits?

you can ask ANSYS, pointwise and gridpro (many other there also) for evaluation license for few months. Once you go through them, then you can decide which software to purchase for future use. I strongly recommend you to get the some test cases done at your institute as well as some difficult problems to be done by vendors of these codes.
If you are working on Fluent then I suggest you to consider the workbench option, which help you setup the problem very easily and also has the option to parametric and update geometry easily. |
