Dear all

I would like to simulate conjugate heat transfer in Fluent, and I make the mesh by using GAMBIT. My model consists of solid and fluid zone , when I imports the mesh into Fluent why the wall shadow is not generated?

cold anyone help me?

If you haven't split the volume and maintained connectivity, this can often happen. Check to ensure the volumes are connected, then give it another shot!

If this doesn't work, post a journal if possible and we'll see if we can help.

Hello Computerguy,

I have a very similar problem. I drew my mesh in gambit and read it into fluent 15 and then I face two problems:

1) I cant check my wall to be coupled

2) It seems like Fluent do not understand the interface between my fluid and solid

Case desciption:

I have heat transfer from the surrounding gas into in the two pipes. The fin and pipes are solids. I want to specify a temperature on the inside of the pipes and an inlet temperature for the gas.

I hope you want/can help me with my problem.
