Hi guys,

i have some serious problems with the fillets of my turbine (<90°). I've tried to shape the fillet with an o-grid several times , but without any success. I've attached some pics. Which blocks and which faces do i have to choose to create the blocking on pic 4 (blocking_fillet)? Last two pics shows the blocking and scan plane from a similar turbine.
Thx in advance.

Still not solved my problems at hub/blade (fillet) and gap (between leading edge and heatshield). Could anyone please help me?

I become desperate. I tried it several times without success. Again: i need an o-grid to resolve the fillet between hub and blade and I didn't get managed to block the gap ( maybe the edges of the o-grid in front of the leading edge were not associated in the correct way to the heatshield/stator).

I would be glad to have your help in blocking or just an explanation. Thx guys.

Finally fixed all problems! Premesh looks very nice now.

I will make a detailed report with some pics at the weekend for those, how has similar problems (geometry).

did you make new surfaces and curves where you made the associations, coz when I checked your files , I noticed similar problem, and I am wondering where would you associate the edges?

1 more thing, why did you make the two edges in the tip gap and how did you do it?

Hey!

sorry, it takes me a time to answer your question. With the two edges in the tip gap I created an GGI (nodes didn't match there as you can see). I've splitted vertices and then associated them to the curve. That's the way i made the interface in the middle of the tip.

So you had two edges in gap, how did you create them?

If You mean that by splitting the vertices we get two edges, then I didn't know it.

Could you explain it bit more, as it is closely related to my field of interest and you have done a fantastic job.

sorry, took me a while to answer your question. I made some screenshots to show, how i made the grid interface on the tip. I hope it's comprehensible.
