Deleting unwanted edges

Hello everyone can anyone tell me how to delete the unwanted edges which are not necessary in geometry. For my geometry when i build topology, near the flaps its showing multiple edges(Blue curves), so untill i remove them i cannot go further go in meshing. So could any of u guys who already worked in this kind of situation please help me out in proceeding further and hoping for ur positive responses.

you can proceed with blue edges, there is no need to delete blue edges.

problem arises only if u have yellow edges.

thanks arjun for ur reply, yes indeed i proceeded further by ignoring them but i was not able to get the desired mesh in those particular regions. So the only other solution is to remove them first and go ahead. If u know the procedure how to do it, cud u plz share ur thoughts on this, it will be very much helpful to me. Thanks in advance.

i dint understand your main problem. i think that edges dint affect the mesh.
what type of mesh u did?
tell me more about geometry or send me your project at - arjun3020@gmail.com
i will check it.
