Hi,

i've build up a blocked mesh. This is my first one. After that i've generated an unstructured mesh. And at the end i exported it as cfx5. If i open it in CFX 13, i get the following message:

I have no idea what caused the error. Any hints are welcome. Additionally i've attached geometrie and blocking file.

thanks for help!

with best regards
Frank

Refer to this thread, http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/cfx...-mesh-cfx.html

There are weired blocks at the tip of the diamond like geometry, numbered 41 & 42 in the attached figure. Did you get this blk with the build-in tools?

..yes, all the blocks are created with build in methods. I've tested today a previous version of my mesh and it works. The blocks are shown in the attached picture. I make two operations after this version. I 've merged the vertices at the cone end. And i create a o-grid. I will test now witch operation is cause of that.

Problem solved! The reason was the merging of the 2 vertices at the cone end.

Thanks for let me know. So merging vertex should be used with care.
